12.1.2010 We're throwing our New Year's show at a Sushi Lounge in Orlando. It's real classy. The pics included are from last year's show, of course, but the flyer is artwork for this year's venue. Check it out. Enjoy!

Just thought I'd add this video from their website for a little more effect :)

Recently, Domino's has been pitching an honesty campaign while introducing a new pizza recipe. They inform us in their new advertisements that they had been hearing complaints about their then current product. While consumers often complain about corporate companies not paying attention to the true wants and needs of their consumers, Domino's was busy using that idea to throw their competition under the bus, while simultaneously introducing a revamped product. They even admit fault over flavor when describing what new ingredients their new product consists of. While not personally having any issues with how their previous pizzas tasted, I figured I would see for myself what all the hype was about.
A new friend of mine just happened to have a free pizza coupon for my local Domino's. This situation was a no-brainer. We called them up and ordered a good ol' large with pepperoni. Even though it's more of a slogan and NOT a guarantee, the pizza did in fact arrive in less than 30 minutes. In order to give the fairest review possible, I forewent the usual urge to add garlic salt to my first slice of pizza. Upon first impression, I noticed right away that there was now what appeared to be garlic butter and some parsley sprinkled along the crust. Upon further investigation, it turns out I was correct. Their website states it is "a garlic seasoned crust with parsley baked to a golden brown." I love these ingredients and figured it would be a welcome change from now on. Upon first bite I didn't really notice any dramatic change in taste. I did however try to actively taste the difference between the cheese of yesteryear and the claims that they now use "shredded cheese made with 100% real mozzarella and flavored with just a hint of provolone." I wonder what they used before... hmmm. Regardless of what they were using before, the sauce tasted very similar, but I could definitely taste what Domino's describes as "sweeter, bolder tomato sauce with a medley of herbs and a red pepper kick."
All in all, it seems that Domino's is delivering [ pun intended ] exactly what they say. I was skeptical at first, that the new changes Domino's has brought about would sway me from ordering with them again. My policy has always been to heed to the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," mentality. I guess I was one of the only customers that thought it wasn't broken. My fears have been quelled by a good pizza at a good price. They have current promotions going on right now for their 50 year anniversary, so if you'd like to try it for yourself, right now is a good time to order! Once you try it, come back to leave comments about your experience. Enjoy!
