"Pounding Up The Stairs"
This is the second time we find ourselves writing about, and featuring someone we met through Twitter... kind of. This laid back female actually accompanied someone else we met on the massive social networking site, at a recent Drum N Bass show at The Garage in St. pete. Bond, Electron C, Benni Hill, and BradLeeRay were all in attendance. You can see the pics from that show here. Anyway, we digress.
We were going to post schmoozes and what-nots about her, but decided to let her tell you in her own words. There is a ood reason why this is one of the longest bios we've featured. When you hear her mixes, you'll agree that we are honored to have met not only a great DJ, but photographer, artist, and composer as well...

" I can blame getting caught up in San Francisco’s party scene as the reason I started DJing. Eight years later, and all I have are [ a few ] mixes, and a ton of vinyl! A DJ is only as good as his or her crew, and I got super lucky with the phenomenal crews I have worked with: AM Breaks, the dRow, Moksha Tribe, Ambient Mafia and Word of Mouth. From the mountains to the desert, to the beach to the forest, I’ve been able to give every span of nature a soundtrack and every person willing to listen, hopefully, a moment.
I never program my sets. When I spin, I pull what I think will be a good fit on the fly. Every set I’ve created, whether at home or at an event, is done this way so everything is live and in the moment. Some really cool things can happen when you leave the window open.
"Pounding Up the Stairs" is the first mix I ever put out. I had bought a bunch of new vinyl and spun them for the first time in this mix. This was the first and pretty much the last set I spun where everything worked out, from timing to melody to energy to cross-genre play. It’s still my favorite now even eight years later. "
